Tractor-Trailer Overturns, Injuring Driver And Scattering Debris Across Route 80

A tractor-trailer overturned and scattered debris across Route 80, injuring the driver and causing an hours-long closure on Tuesday night, Sept. 5, authorities said.

The crash occurred on the eastbound side near milepost 0.6 in Knowlton around 8:15 p.m., SFC Philip Curry told Daily Voice.

The Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Co. responded a short time later:

One of the two left lanes was closed for at least two hours as crews cleared the scene, according to 511NJ.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, Curry said.
